where does the feeling of ‘longing’ come from?

Whenever ‘longing’ is experienced, especially when it comes along with painful emotions, the concept of separateness / duality appears as solid.

Whenever you are ‘at home’ in the deep sense of the meaning, no ‘longing’ comes to the surface instead there is the collapse of duality.

This can be felt in the union with another person or in total solitude as non-duality is ever present therefore not dependent on any circumstances, nor on time or space.

It seems to be the effortless abiding of which ever experience comes into existence. C
